What:

Nanaimo Harbourfront Library provides various reading programs from infants to seniors including Baby-time, Story-time, Summer Reading Clubs, Teen Book Club, and Adult Readings, as well as special events, and children’s literacy kits on loan. In partnership with Altrusa International they also provide delivery of library materials to people who are homebound (see our Altrusa listing). This is in addition to the numerous library books and multimedia available to loan.

When:

Various programs are delivered throughout the year plus special events. The library hours are:

  • Monday through Thursday: 10:00 am to 8:00 pm,
  • Friday and Saturday: 10:00 am to 5:00 pm
  • Sunday: 12:30 pm to 4:00 pm.

How:

The service is free. Identification, or mail with a Vancouver Island address on it, is required to become a library user.
